Meinl Sonic Energy Thunder Drum TDL oferă efecte sonore puternice, joase, care amintesc de sunetul tunetului. Realizat din material sintetic ușor, este comod de ținut și simplu de folosit.
Arcul metalic suspendat liber generează un efect de furtună, iar mișcările fine ale încheieturii permit controlarea și modelarea sunetului. Lovirea arcului cu mâna adaugă accente ascuțite și șuierătoare, iar deschiderea și închiderea orificiului de rezonanță introduce variații suplimentare, inclusiv efecte expresive de tip wah-wah.
Instrumentul este foarte potrivit pentru sesiunile de tip „sound journey”, unde crearea unor atmosfere naturale și spațiale este esențială, precum și pentru interpretări live și sound design creativ.
