Earth Gong este un gong neprelucrat la strung. După ce a fost scos din cuptor, acesta a fost doar curățat.
În lumea gongurilor, este bine de reținut că, cu cât gongul este mai mic, cu atât tonul este mai clar. Cu cât finisajul este mai brut, cu atât gongul se activează mai lent. Earth Gong, cu suprafața sa exterioară neșlefuită, păstrează un ton mai profund. Nu se activează la fel ca un Wind Gong sau chiar ca un Chao Gong.
Sunetul său este foarte complex, uscat și brut, fără un ton fundamental clar. Mai mult, Earth Gong-urile sunt excelente pentru gravare datorită contrastului ridicat creat între imaginea gravată și suprafața brută a gongului.
În set este inclus un ciocan pentru gong de dimensiune dedicată.
