Setul Pearl Decade Maple este un model revoluționar datorită utilizării arțarului pentru construcția shell-urilor, material neîntâlnit în această categorie de preț, caracterizat printr-un sunet plin, cald, cu o notă distinctă de frecvențe medii și joase. Shell-urile din lemn ale tobelor sunt acoperite 100% cu lac, având structura lemnului vizibilă. Pearl Decade Maple este echipat cu un set de hardware testat din seria 830, având în frunte pedala de bass drum P930 Demonator.
